Chelsea centre-back David Luiz has talked about our upcoming opponent Tottenham and how their scintillating form is something to be well aware of ahead of the FA Cup semi-final this Saturday.
Spurs have cruised into eight straight wins in all competitions and have closed the gap to just four points from Chelsea at the top of the Premier League table.

They’ve scored an astonishing 22 goals in their last eight league games and the Blues defence will have to be fully focused on Saturday believes Luiz, or otherwise Chelsea’s dreams of FA Cup glory can be waved a goodbye. A big worry for Chelsea is also their slightly poor goal scoring form as key man Diego Costa is currently in a five game goal drought.
“Tottenham are playing very well but also we are top of the table for a reason.
We still have to play a lot of football, so we need to look forward and play the next games.
In Chelsea’s previous game against Manchester United a warm-up injury for Marcos Alonso forced him off the starting eleven, and people might have expected his absence be one reason for the defeat at Old Trafford.

However, Luiz didn’t think that the loss was caused by Alonso’s injury, but more because of their poor display.
“This kind of thing can happen, he felt a bit sick so that is why we had to change.
It didn’t affect the game because Marcos did not play, we lost because we did not play very well and it was not the Chelsea like before and sometimes this happens.
We didn’t play well, Manchester United played better than us and they deserved to win.”
