Diego Costa claims he’s unhappy in London

Chelsea striker Diego Costa has recently stated how he’s happy at Chelsea and how the club are progressing and processing, but has given the fans a worrying statement claiming he’s still unsettled living in London.

The Spain international has scored a terrific 17 goals this season, but dipped in form following a mega-money offer from China in January.

Diego Costa has 17 goals to his name in the league this season – more than any other Chelsea player.

He’s still Chelsea’s number one striker in Antonio Conte’s system week-in week-out, but is currently on a four-game goal drought and the media have jumped right back onto his shoulders, linking the player to a Stamford Bridge yet again.

Boosting those exit rumours, Costa has admitted to SFR Sport how he’s unhappy living in London, even though he strongly reminds how his happiness in the city and at the club are two very different things.

“I have another two years on my contract. I am always very honest with those close to me. I tell them that I am very happy at Chelsea.

The club gives me a lot, the fans, the team-mates. I am in a team that is winning and that motivates me even more. Last season was not the best, not just for me but for other players and for Chelsea.

This year I hope will be different, that we win titles. If you are in a team that is winning, you always want to stay for the allotted amount of time.

I am happy at Chelsea, I am not necessarily saying that I am happy with my life in London, but that is something completely different. It has nothing to do with it.”
