Blues winger Eden Hazard has declared that Chelsea ‘are nearly there’ as they cruised into a huge 2-1 victory over Manchester City last night to maintain their seven-point lead on top of the Premier League table.
Chelsea fans went from self-confident walking-the-title type of supporters to fearful skeptics following the West London side’s disappointing defeat to Crystal Palace last weekend, and they can’t but love to hear what star forward Hazard had to say after yesterday’s comeback victory.
“We are nearly there but there is a long way to go.
We have eight games to play. We want to finish top. That’s the target.
We have some difficult games but we are ready for everything.
It is a big win [over Man City]. I don’t know if the way we played was beautiful but the most important thing is to win games.
I think the way we played we can do better but after a defeat it’s good to come back here and win three points.”

Chelsea will still be facing Watford, Southampton, Middlesbrough and Sunderland at home, visiting Bournemouth (next game ahead), Everton, Manchester United and West Bromwich Albion away this term.
The Blues will also be playing Tottenham this month in a FA Cup semi-final at Wembley Stadium, hoping to climb as high as winning a double this season.
