Chelsea goalkeeper wants to return to former club this summer

Young Chelsea goalkeeper Jamal Blackman, who’s currently on loan at Wycombe Wanderers, is keen to return to the League Two side for next season as he has ‘unfinished business’ there.

Wycombe finished ninth in the league as League Two came to its close last Saturday. The side were eventually just one point away from the promotion qualifiers.

Blackman has been a key member for the team this term as he made as many as 50 appearances in all competitions for the Chairboys.

The 23-year-old will return to Chelsea for the summer, but it’s unlikely he’ll be part of Antonio Conte’s plans next term with Thibaut Courtois, Asmir Begovic and Eduardo all in front of him in the Blues’ pecking order.

Therefore he’s keen to leave the club and return to Wycombe where he gets guaranteed playing time in the first-team.

“If that’s an option (re-joining the side on loan) then definitely, I feel like I’ve got unfinished business here.

So, if there’s an option to come back here then I would certainly look into it.

I’ll go back to Chelsea now and sit down in the summer and see where I go from here.”

Blackman would have the ability to break into a team in the League One level, but if he’s heart is set on a return to the Adams Park, it would be the perfect move for him.
