Chelsea could be wandering in the wilderness quite soon, as they’re preparing to enter an errant bunch of seasons as their new stadium is likely to be ready to host fixtures as late as 2023.
The Blues move out from Stamford Bridge at the end of the 2018/19 season, and with Wembley Stadium their likeliest vice-home ground for the time being, they will have to learn to settle to both new stadiums.

Chelsea got the permission to expand the Bridge to a huge 60,000-seated venue in a £500m project earlier this year, but according to Daily Mail there has been issues with building rafts over the railway tracks at SW6, and the stadium is expected to be ready at least a year later than first expected.
Despite the huge budget of the revamp, Chelsea will be retaining the same ticket prices for next season – which is something that has to be well appreciated by the fans.
Even though we are getting new stadium, they have kept ticket prices the same. Chelsea are doing everything right lately. https://t.co/pMS4Hm2mfY

Tottenham Hotspur will be facing a very identical situation, but only for one season, as they’ll be hosting the Wembley during the 2017/18 campaign (next season).
Chelsea also have a possibility to move to an interim stadium closer than Wembley, but it’s also going to be very much smaller than the current Stamford Bridge.
