Quartet of Chelsea men nominated for Premier League season awards

Antonio Conte, Eden Hazard, Cesar Azpilicueta and N’Golo Kante have all been nominated for the annual Premier League awards of Player of the Year and Manager of the Year accolades.

The Premier League have released their shortlist for the awards and unsurprisingly they include a strong amount of names from Chelsea and Tottenham.

Antonio Conte, who’s the favourite to win the Manager of the Year award this season, led Chelsea to their fifth Premier League title on his maiden season in England, and was also named as the Manager of the Month in October, November and December – the first ever manager to have claimed the accolade three times in a row.

Then in the Premier League’s eight-name shortlist for the Player of the Year award there are three Blues players to choose from; Hazard, Kante and Azpilicueta.

The Belgium international has been Chelsea’s key player attacking-wise, as he has helped his side to triumph the league title with 15 goals and five assists.

Meanwhile, Azpilicueta and Kante – who already claimed PFA’s POTY award a month ago – have been the carrying force defensively, and would also deserve to claim the POTY award just as much as Hazard.
