Antoine Griezmann raises Atleti colours in latest social media twist

In the wake of the announcement of Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban being upheld by CAS, Antoine Griezmann has sent out a tweet which seems to signal a desire to stay at the club.

It had been debated how the ban would affect the forward’s thinking about a potential move away from Spain, but it seems that the French forward has decided to use this as an opportunity to show off his loyalty to the club where he has established himself as one of the world’s very best players.

Manchester United had briefed the press earlier in the day that they weren’t interested in him, the reasoning being that they wanted a “9” to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Chelsea’s links to Greizmann had been fairly limited, with the simple assumption that he’s likely to want to join basically fueling the speculation, but there’s no reason to not want the former Real Sociedad player.
