Chelsea have sold Nathan Ake to Bournemouth after accepting a £20 million bid.
The Dutch international joined the Cherries on loan last season but was recalled by Antonio Conte in January, leading to reports he would be part of Chelsea’s plans next season.
However with limited number of games under his belt in the second half of last season, Ake has decided to rejoin Bournemouth on a permanent deal that smashed the club’s transfer record.
Bournemouth faced competition from a number of Premier League including Leicester City and Southampton but the South Coast club have won the race for his signature. Bournemouth had a bid of £18m rejected in January after he was recalled by Chelsea.
Ake has been growing into a fine player in recent years and was capped for the first time by the Netherlands in March.
