Romelu Lukaku has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich today, potentially disrupting a move to Chelsea.
The Everton forward has seemingly been on course to compete a big money return to Stamford Bridge this summer as the Blues search for a top striker to compete with or potentially replace Diego Costa. Lukaku, as a top class forward who knows the Premier League inside out and is ready for the step up to the Champions League, has been a priority.
Now there are rumours that German giants Bayern are also sniffing around the Belgian forward and are ready to rival Antonio Conte’s team for his signing.
It certainly seems as though Chelsea should still have the edge in this race, as Lukaku is a fan of the club and probably sees a clearer path to the first team in London than in Munich. These rumours are probably just bored journalists trying to add excitement to a move that is otherwise a done deal.
