Jose Mourinho says he’s better manager now than during his time at Chelsea

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho believes he’s better at his job now than during his time at Stamford Bridge.

The Portuguese coach has guided his side to the top of the Premier League table alongside Manchester rivals Man City, but has had an easy path so far having not played against a single team from the TOP10 of the standings.

It’s not that the league table would make too much of a difference at this point of the season, but it really shows how lucky the Red Devils have got with their oppositions.

Mourinho was able to lead United to both FA Cup and UEFA Europa League glory last term, but was far away from the league title eventually finishing sixth in the table.

Following his strong maiden season at Old Trafford, Mourinho is now aiming to bring the Premier League title back to Manchester. His side have started well so far, and Mourinho believes he has become a better manager along the way by learning to keep himself calm during matches.

I’m a better coach today than I was before because I can control my emotions. These days I face difficulties with more maturity – it means I keep my feet on the ground.

Things started off more difficult last year and the season turned out really well. But this year has started off really well so we don’t know how it’s going to end.

In another league [our start] would mean we’ve basically won the title, but in England in means nothing.
