According to the Daily Mail Chelsea have offered Eden Hazard a huge £300,000-a-week contract to both extend his stay at Stamford Bridge and to ward off Real Madrid, who have been keen to sign the Belgian for quite some time now.
The Blues’ star player suffered a major injury during the summer, also ruling him out of Chelsea’s opening of the season. He’s still yet to reach his full fitness, but his displays on the field have now shown how his ankle problem is already far behind him.
The injury, along with Chelsea’s superb Premier League campaign, silenced the most of the transfer rumours linking Hazard into a move away from the Bridge. However, Los Blancos are still monitoring his situation, and a new contract is needed should the West London club really want him to stay.
Hazard is on his way to become one of the club’s greatest ever players, as he has already bagged 72 goals in 256 appearances for Chelsea and carried his side to two league titles in three years.
