Chelsea are rumoured to be keen on offering a deal for Spanish centre-back Iker San Vicente, as he has turned down a contract extension at Osasuna.
The 16-year-old wonderkid, who is dubbed as ‘the next Gerard Pique‘, is a target for several big sides in Europe. He will become a free agent in January, and according to the Mirror Chelsea are in on the race to sign him, alongside their London rivals Arsenal.
Barcelona are however seen as the favourites to land the promising defender.

San Vicente is yet to make a first-team appearance for Osasuna, but has already been scouted by both Premier League clubs mentioned.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte brought two new centre-backs to the team last summer, as he decided to keep Andreas Christensen in the first-team after two years on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach, and signed German defender Antonio Rudiger as his first acquisition of the window.
With the likes of Kurt Zouma and Jake Clarke-Salter also fighting for a place in the Chelsea first-team, it’s highly unlikely that San Vicente would be keen to move to Stamford Bridge at this stage of his career. He’s one for the future, for sure, but it’s better for us to set focus on our own ones.
