“No, zero chance” – Antonio Conte rules out Chelsea ace’s potential return for Man United tie

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has revealed that Victor Moses will not be making the team selection for the vital Premier League clash against Manchester United this Sunday.

Despite midfield duo Danny Drinkwater and N’Golo Kante looking likely to appear in the Chelsea line-up at Stamford Bridge, Moses will still need to wait for his return with a ‘bad’ muscular problem likely to keep him out of the side for another few weeks.

Conte gave a pre-game interview on Friday evening, and was questioned whether the 26-year-old could be set to make his return as soon as this weekend. The Italian was not even slightly hopeful of such thing, though.

“No, zero chance. Moses’ injury was a bad injury, a bad muscular problem. We have to wait and have patience. He needs more time before he recovers.”

Moses injured his leg in Chelsea’s disappointing 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace in the beginning of the month, and the Nigerian has since been replaced by Davide Zappacosta on the right wing-back’s position, with Cesar Azpilicueta also appearing in the role at times.

Despite a slow start to the campaign, Moses has also been nominated for the African Player of the Award award.
