Victor Moses nominated for African Player of the Year award

Chelsea’s Nigerian wing-back Victor Moses has been named in the 30-man shortlist for this year’s African Player of the Year award.

Moses enjoyed a superb 2016-17 campaign with the Blues, helping the Londoners all the way to the Premier League title with three goals and two assists in 34 appearances.

The 26-year-old has unfortunately spent the recent weeks on the sidelines rather than on the pitch due to a serious muscular problem, that could keep him away from training until next year.

Former Chelsea players Mohammed Salah (Egypt) and Bertrand Traore (Burkina Faso) have also been nominated for the award.
