“He can keep scoring” – Pedro expects Alvaro Morata to continue scoring goals

Pedro says he expects Alvaro Morata to pick up from where he left off against Leicester City in the FA Cup last Sunday when he scored the Blues’ opener.

The striker has been in very poor form, last scoring a goal against Brighton and Hove Albion on December 26, 2017. Since then Motata has played about 11 games without scoring, and has only just resumed normal duties against the Foxes in the quarter final of the FA Cup.

His goal helped the Blues secure victory but it was Pedro’s goal that finally put the nail in the coffin as Antonio Conte’s side marched into the last four of the competition.

Morata took his goal well, when he was put through on goal by Willian. The former Real Madrid forward advanced on the goalkeeper and curled the ball into the bottom corner, off the post, for the goal.

Pedro believes that could be the start of a lot of great things to happen to Morata before the season ends.

“I’m very happy for Alvaro to score again and hopefully that will give him the confidence to score more. Alvaro is a very good player and an important part of our team. It’s important for him to score and to help the side and hopefully he can continue to do that until the end of the season.

He had a back injury but now he’s in a very good condition and it’s a good time for him. I think his back is perfect now and hopefully he can keep scoring, because we all know just how good he is.”
