Chelsea are often criticised for not playing their young players, and in the past were criticised for buying too many foreign players and not playing enough English players.
But recent evidence shows that may be about to change.
The domination of England’s youth teams in recent years has been total, and those teams have been themselves dominated by Chelsea players.
Now that’s beginning to bear fruit, with the next generation of players coming through at England having a heavy Chelsea flavour.
Since the start of the 2017-18 season, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Tammy Abraham, Dominic Solanke, Jack Cork, Ryan Bertrand, Nathaniel Chalobah, Mason Mount and Trevoh Chalobah have been involved in some form with the senior England squad. 💙 #CFC

Just look at this list! So many talented boys, some still at Chelsea, some gone and some on loan building their careers.
Only Gary Cahill and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are in this England squad from Chelsea, but it’s hard to see there not being at least twice as many in the team when it comes to Euro 2020 and beyond.
Hope for Chelsea fans, and maybe for England fans in the future too.
