Chelsea manager Antonio Conte will not be short of suitors when he leaves Chelsea next summer, with local reports from Italy reporting he is being targeted by Napoli chiefs.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is aiming at finding a new manager with Maurizio Sarri expected to take charge of Chelsea next summer, as Blues top officials decide to sack Conte following a poor season.
With the FA Cup, the only silverware Chelsea can win this season, Roman Abramovich is not happy with the current status of the club and the fact they are not the powerhouse they used to be in the past. Even a win in the cup final can not save Conte’s future at Stamford Bridge due to the non-competitive performances his side have churned out this season, placing outside the top four and failing to get into the final stages of the Champions League.
Corriere della Sera is quoted by Football Italia as saying Conte is high on Napoli’s radar in replacing Sarri as they intend to ‘start a new cycle’ at the San Paolo.
