Chelsea ready to spend big on Benjamin Henrichs next summer despite uncertainty around next manager

Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen full back Benjamin Henrichs amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United according to the Sun.

The Blues are looking to go hard in the next transfer window after a disappointing season as they seek to beef up the weakened positions in the squad. The full back position has been problematic for the team for some seasons now, with Victor Moses, a makeshift right full back and Marcos Alonso going almost the entire season without a recognized competitor on the left.

With Henrichs, Antonio Conte or whoever is in charge of the Blues can be assured of having a player who is adept to playing across the entire defense.

The 21-year old has been tipped as one of the most promising young defenders in the German game with several top clubs interested in him. Multiple reports had it that Spurs were very interested in signing Henrichs as Kyle Walker’s replacement, as captured in a report by 90mins.
