Chelsea are reportedly working around the clock this off season, as they look to replace the technical minds at the club after a disappointing season, and with Maurizio Sarri still under contract with Napoli, the Blues are punching all loops holes to see where the gap opens to exploit.
Sarri is currently under contract and until Thursday, May 31, has a release clause in his deal that could be activated for his exit. His current release clause stands at €8m and Chelsea have been told by the Napoli president Aurelio De Lurentiis to cough the entire amount.
Football Italia quotes Corriere dello Sport as saying the Blues have reportedly offered Napoli €4m to part ways with Sarri but De Laurentiis is sticking to his initial offer.
Sarri will still be receiving salary from Napoli as he has not been sacked despite the club hiring Carlo Ancelotti as his replacement.
Chelsea on the other hand, also have to pay an amount of £9m to part ways with Antonio Conte via the Daily Mail, who currently has one year remaining on the initial three-year contract he signed with Chelsea in 2016.
