Chelsea loanee Jay DaSilva has won Charlton’s player of the year award.
The youngster can play in either full back position, and his excellent season with the Addicks has now been crystalised with this award.
Their season isn’t over either, with the team now in 6th place and preparing for a playoff clash with Shrewsbury, where DaSvila will get further chances to shine.

While he’s had an excellent time in his year and a half in South East London, the fact he’s now one of their standout players perhaps shows its time for Jay to move up a level so he can continue developing against the very best opposition.
Next season he should expect a loan to the Premier League, or to the Championship at the very least – perhaps even with Charlton if he can help take them up through the playoffs that start with their game against the Shrews on Thursday night.
