Chelsea are on fire. The Blues beat Liverpool 1-0 at Stamford Bridge to announce to the Reds and their North London rivals that they are ready for the final lap of the title race.
The Blues secured a vital win on Sunday against the Champions League finalists courtesy of a fine header by Olivier Giroud in the first half to cement their status as top four chasers. Their hopes would have been crushed had they suffered a defeat at home to Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Now, Chelsea find themselves two points behind Tottenham Hotspur and three behind Liverpool with two games to go for the former two, and one to go for the Reds.
