Chelsea are looking for a new manager, and many of the reports have focused on Italy, perhaps because the current manager is Italian and could be returning to a side there.
It could also be because Chelsea are sniffing around Italy for a successor for their current manager. Antonio Conte has seen his stock fall at the club since his side failed to keep a decent title defense. The only bridge too far to cross for Chelsea here is the £9m they must pay to Conte if they part ways with him in the summer, according to the Telegraph.
El Mattino in Italy say Chelsea already to return to their former manager who won the Premier League title in his first season in charge in 2009/10 season, breaking records in the Premier League.
Sport Witness quotes the paper in Italy as saying the Blues top officials are willing to bring the former Real Madrid and Bayern Munich manager to the club as his experience beats most of the available managers in the market now.
It’s yet to be seen whether Ancelotti would return to the club that sacked him only a season after he won the Premier League title, but with Chelsea able to pay big sums for their targets, he may just accept to be in the hot seat and build something big for the future.
