Chelsea were praised by Napoli midfielder, Jorginho’s agent, but stopped at saying Chelsea have made a bid for his client this summer.
Jorginho has attracted several clubs from England this season, particularly Manchester City who are stealing the march on their rivals in the Premier League by looking to do quick transfer business. Apparently they have made a bid for the 26-year old that has been rejected by Napoli.
The negotiations between Napoli and Man City is reportedly not progressing at the moment as the Serie A runners up last season seek to retain their top stars to work with Carlo Ancelotti next season.
Joao Santos praised Chelsea admitting they are an ‘interesting and important’ club, much like Barcelona and Real Madrid, even though the Sarri-bound club are yet to show interest in his client.
“Today’s offer [from City]? You have to ask Guintoli [Napoli director]. I’m not negotiation so I cannot say anything because I don’t know if the negotiation is moving forward.
Chelsea have never had contact with me so I cannot talk, they’ve never called me. They’re an important and interesting club – like Barcelona and Real Madrid – but they’ve never called me.”

But top officials at Chelsea could be grinning from ear to ear, upon hearing news that Pep Guardiola’s side have hit a stumbling block in Italy although they will also have a tough job securing the Brazil-born midfielder.
Jorginho’s stock rose very well this season after his impressive displays in the Serie A and Champions League. His passing range has attracted several top clubs and will very likely get him a mega deal this summer. His passing records have been captured by Squawka in this tweet below.
