Chelsea have been told how much they have to pay for striker Gonzalo Higuain next summer with Gazzetta dello Sport reporting that the Blues will have Juventus’ permission to begin negotiations.
Higuain is considered one of the world’s best attackers and has been the Serie A best striker in the last couple of seasons, hitting varying milestones in the Italian Serie A.
The 31-year old is ageing and is no longer the darling boy of the Juventus fans after his dismal displays in crucial games this season. However, he still has the knack of scoring important goals and will attract top clubs when available.
According to the report by Gazzetta dello Sport via Calciomercato Roman Abramovich’s purse will have to splash out €63 million to acquire the services of the Argentina international in the coming transfer window.
Chelsea have been linked with the former Napoli striker because of the imminent arrival of Maurizio Sarri who he worked with at the Naples club. Sarri is thought to prefer training with a striker he knows and has recommended Higuain to be brought to Stamford Bridge according to the Daily Mail.
