Chelsea defender David Luiz is silently hoping the club hires Laurent Blanc as the next manager to replace Antonio Conte next summer, as the Express reveals the Blues have contacted the French manager.
The club is currently searching for a new manager to replace the Italian manager who failed to successfully defend the Premier League title, placing fifth in the league table and also crashing out of the Champions League round of 16 and the Carabao Cup semi final.
Despite winning the FA Cup, his last game in charge of the Blues and a his second silverware since taking charge of the Blues in 2016, Chelsea are expected to part ways with him and hire a new manager to change the style and direction the club has taken in the last few years.
Laurent Blanc has been mentioned as an alternative to Maurizio Sarri, whose release clause is currently proving stubborn in negotiations and Luiz wants to reunite with his former boss according to the Metro. The Brazil star worked with Blanc while at PSG between 2014 and 2016 and has fond memories of him at the club.
