When considering players who may blossom under Maurizio Sarri, there are plenty of options.
Antonio Conte is a superb manager, but like all coaches he has a certain taste in player, and a style that suits certain types.
Víctor Moses and NGolo Kante have shown themselves to be excellent Conte players, as has Marcos Alonso.
But under Sarri, other types will have the chance to shine.
Andreas Christensen is one of the first names that comes to mind. He was great under Conte too, but in Sarri’s system he will be key.
The ball circulation at Napoli is constant, with Kalidou Koulibably and Raül Albiol required to get a ridiculous number of touches per game and keep playing the ball under pressure.
This is a dream role for Christensen’s skillset, and he will have the perfect chance to build on this season next time out if Sarri is appointed this summer.
