Willian picked up two awards at Chelsea end of season awards gala last night to confirm his effective display this season, especially in March when he tore Barcelona apart in the Champions League.
But it was in January that Willian really earned the right to win the goal of the season award. His beautifully worked goal against Brighton with Michy Batshuayi and Eden Hazard won him the club’s best goal.
Willian began the move, before finding Hazard who immediately found Batshuayi with a first time pass. From there, it was three more first time touches, the last two were glorious back heels that worked the ball into the path of Willian to shoot from outside the box, as seen in the video below:
