Antonio Conte has reportedly been contacted by Real Madrid in the La Liga giant’s bid to find a replacement for Zinedine Zidane who departed the club after last season.
The Los Blancos are currently without a manager following the resignation of Zidane. The Frenchman departed his role as manager of the club after he led them to an unprecedented third successive Champions League win.
His departure creates a huge vacuum that needs to be filled and Conte has emerged as one of the leading candidates to take up the job. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Chelsea’s manager was direct with his response to the tempting football giants.
The former Italy and Juventus tactician ‘has not received any sort of communication from Chelsea of a possible exoneration, and has no intention of taking the first step to do so’ as per the report by Di Marzio.
Also, another reason why Conte rejected Real’s first call is that, as per Di Marzio, he will be unable to fight the dressing room control by some players at the Spanish club.
