Barcelona are reportedly ready to reduce the asking price for Chelsea target Jasper Cillessen to open the door for the Blues to make him a summer signing.
The report by Football Espana says Chelsea have been boosted by the development at the Camp Nou, with Barcelona ready to let the goalkeeper leave for around €30m. The 29-year old has a €60m release clause in his contract that expires in 2021,and that fee was thought to be what Barcelona were demanding from suitors this summer.
But the Camp Nou top chiefs are now ready to slash the fee into two halves and allow the player leave to Chelsea if he so wishes to. Liverpool were also thought to be in contention for him.
Chelsea are having to deal with the situation of letting Thibaut Courtois leave for Real Madrid and finding a replacement, and Marca through the Daily Express say the Blues are close to signing Allison Becker from AS Roma.
Following Willy Caballero’s disastrous performance against Croatia for Argentina at the World Cup, he cold also be on his way out of Stamford Bridge. Although it is unlikely Chelsea will pay €30m for a backup goalkeeper.
