At one time Eden Hazard is very poised to stay at Chelsea with conditions laid on the table to the club’s chiefs, at another time, there are rumors that he may switch club allegiances with Real Madrid keen on signing him up.
The Belgium international’s future at Chelsea has been up in the air with no one able to tell wehre he will end up playing next season. The Blues have offered a new deal but the player has not yet put pen to paper yet, drawing more attention to himself while his connection to Real never ends.
The situation at Chelsea involving the manager’s position is also reportedly making players unsettled with the likes of Willian unwilling to continue to keep playign for the club if Antonio Conte stays on. It may be tolerated if Willian leaves, but for Hazard, most fans and anyone affiliated to the club will be left bemused should he leave.
Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has weighed in on the talk. He advises hazard to stay at Stamford Bridge and become and ‘legend’.
“Eden Hazard has the qualities to be the best, especially now Cristiano [Ronaldo] and Leo [Messi] are getting older.
He can also be a club legend for Chelsea if he stays. All I say to him is it’s up to him how far he wants to get because he has all the attributes and he is still at the age where he can be the best with the likes of Neymar and maybe [Kylian] Mbappe.
Talent-wise he is up there, I have no doubt about it. He’s strong, he’s quick, he can dribble. But I think Eden can score more goals than what he thinks he can. I believe in him more than he does!”
