Eden Hazard gives Chelsea biggest ultimatum yet to sign new contract this summer

If Chelsea plan to tie down Eden Hazard as one of their biggest wishes this summer, they have to sort out their managerial uncertainty.

Antonio Conte has been left to rot at the club, with the Blues intensely searching for and speaking to new managers, while the Italian has yet to be communicated to about his future. The five-time Premier League champions are unable to sack Conte due to the £9 million compensation they would pay Conte if he does not walk into a new job according to the Telegraph.

Hazard like many other players at the club will be hoping for a definite word from the club, as to who will be in the dressing room as the instructor. Conte is surely on his way out of the club, and with Maurizio Sarri, Laurent Blanc and Luis Enrique all linked with the job at the club, some of the key players are unhappy about the uncertainty.

Hazard, who is currently focusing on the World Cup with Belgium, weighs in on the action and tells the club to be definite about Conte’s future as well finding new players before he pens a new deal.

“Yeah, I want to know. I want to know, but like I say I am focused on the World Cup. If we have something new — manager or players — it is always good to know it because I want players that can [help bring success back to] Chelsea next season. But to be fair the transfer market is not here yet. We will see after.

We had a bad season with Chelsea. We won the FA Cup at the end — so it was a little bit better, but I’m only focused on the World Cup. Then I let the board manage Chelsea the best way that they can.”
