The promising full back has been one of the shining lights from Chelsea’s academy in recent seasons. featuring a number of time under Antonio Conte last season.
Sterlin has come through Chelsea’s academy since he featured for the Under-16s and then rose to become one of the key members of the Under-19 squad that won several titles last season. He won the FA Youth Cup and the UEFA Youth League, scoring vital goals including the winner in the 2016 final. Sterling was part of the Under 19 European Championship in 2017, a trophy the Blues won as well.
He has been considered a vital member of Chelsea’s future and looks to be on the right course with the loan deal with Coventry in the Championship.
His ability to run and get past his man on the flank has attracted a host of Championship clubs to him, but he eventually decided on Coventry as the right club in this time in his career as announced by Coventry on the club’s official website.
