Belgium striker Michy Batshuayi started Belgium’s World Cup clash against England on Thursday and despite the expectation of goals in the game, he produced some rather hilarious incidents.
Most famous was his accuracy in striking the ball at the post that rebounds to hit his face while celebrating his side’s lead against England.
Andan Januzaj scored the Red Devil’s only goal of the game, that sealed the win for them, and as the rest of his teammates run towards Januzaj to celebrate the goal, Batshuayi decided to pick the ball from the back of the net and hit it against the post. The ball rocketed off the woodwork and hit his face, with his reaction revealing he may have endured some pain in the process.
While the game continued, social media was flooded by videos and pictures of the incident and Batshuayi, as expected gave a hilarious response on his Twitter account.
