The Daily Mail today ran a story claiming that Chelsea are interested in signing Aaron Ramsey from Arsenal.
The midfielder is in the last year of his contract, and is reportedly interested in making a big move this summer after a decade in North London.
The Welshman is 27, in the prime of his career, and would be a top signing for Chelsea – especially at that price.
It’s especially tempting when you idly begin to dream about how he would fit into Maurizio Sarri’s new look midfield. Along with N’Golo Kante pressing high and Jorginho controlling the tempo from deep, an all action goalscorer like Aaron Ramsey would be the perfect third part to the triptych.
Sadly it’s a move that still seems a very long way off. Arsenal would rather sell to almost anyone than us, and Ramsey will have no shortage of options if he really is available for £30m.
