Chelsea are yet to fully begin initiating their summer transfer plans with their managerial uncertainty still hanging around the neck of top officials at the club.
But even before any manager settles, Antonio Conte or his replacement, the club may have to deal with summer transfers. Most of the arrivals last season failed to hit their mark and frustratingly, the club sunk in several competitions, well except the FA Cup.
One of those struggling stars is Alvaro Morata. The striker was expected to bang in the goals for his new club after moving from Real Madrid last summer, but his numbers have been far from encouraging. After an immediate hit at the club, Morata began a terrible run of no goals in the space of three months before bagging another.
That has created some frustrations for the former Juventus striker who now wants to move back to Italy where he spent two years with Juventus. Juventus were thought to be interested in swapping him for Gonzalo Higuain, but fresh reports by Goal says the Blues could receive a a bid from Inter Milan who are poised in signing the Spain international to replace Mauro Icardi, should the forward leave for their local rivals Juventus.
