Chelsea are a club in limbo with their current manager Antonio Conte, and as things stand, many within the club do not know the fate of the Italian as the club’s chiefs work behind the scenes for his replacement.
The manager has been astute in his dealings at the club but failed miserably in his assertion and public criticism of the Blues’ transfer policy. Having not received most of the players on his transfer wishlist, the former Juventus boss was very vocal of his frustrations at the club and although he remained visibly disinterested in conversations about the transfers.
According to the Express, Chelsea are working at bringing in Maurizio Sarri but that deal seems to be going cold. The Premier League side keen to bring in a new man to take charge of the club’s technical direction.
But, per the Times, Conte is expected to arrive at the club’s training grounds this summer to begin pre-season training and maintains he is still the manager in charge of the club after a member of the technical team emailed the players to ask to return to the club on Saturday and Sunday.
