Former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has held off a potential deal with AC Milan who are keen to hire him as manager, as he bids to resolve his issues with Chelsea.
A couple of weeks back, the Italian tactician was sacked by Chelsea chiefs after they firmed up a deal with former Napoli head coach Maurizio Sarri, and that decision meant Chelsea were to pay Conte a sum of £9m as compensation for the one year remaining on his current deal with the club, as per the Telegraph.
According to Football Italia, Conte has been contacted by Milan’s incoming Technical Director, Leonardo Jardim, but Conte told him to wait a little while as he resolves his contract abrogation issues with the Premier League giants.
If Conte takes on another job, it will free Chelsea from the expected 9m expenditure while if Conte stays off any work, the Blues will be compelled to pay him monthly until next summer when his contract would have expired.
