Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois may be on his way out of the club, more so after he revealed he has a ‘preferred destination’ in his mind if he leaves the club this summer.
The Belgium international has been linked with a move from Chelsea in recent transfer windows, particularly this current one with Real Madrid finally ready to discard Keylor Navas’ services for a more trusting goalkeeper. Before rumors intensified that Courtois could be heading to Real Madrid, it was Manchester United’s David De Gea who was the main target for the Los Blancos.
The former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper instead committed his future to the Red Devils and refused to move from Old Trafford.
That has been the wish of Chelsea and the club’s fans but Courtois has shown little signs of doing same despite an offer on the table for him. He rather reveals he has a ‘preferred destination’ in mind, he will announce after the World Cup.
“I have a certain preferred destination. I have some ideas in my mind, but I’m focusing on the World Cup and have pushed all decisions ahead until after the tournament.
My kids are the most important for me. I haven’t seen them a lot in the last 18 months. Facetime is nice, but seeing them grow up is something different. My kids will play an important role in my decision.”
