Chelsea set 48-hour deadline for Maurizio Sarri or they retain Antonio Conte as head coach

Chelsea will no longer give Maurizio Sarri anymore time after the next 48 hours as they plan to take pre-season seriously and will no be left without a manager in the period where their players begin returning to training.

According to Corrierre dello Sport via Calciomercato, Chelsea are likely to inform Sarri on Saturday that they will rather move to remain with Conte. Sarri now has to free himself from the contract at Napoli that has kept him from signing for Chelsea this summer, despite former Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti being hired as the new manager.

Now Chelsea have a couple of days before their players begin reporting to camp and are ready to keep Conte who won the FA Cup last season to add to his Premier League title triumph  in his maiden season in England.

Napoli want a figure of about €8m to release Sarri but Chelsea are not ready to pay anything above €4m for the Italian tactician according to the report by Calciomercato.
