Chelsea are taking Serie A by storm these days, and that doesn’t look like it’s going to stop anytime soon, especially as Italian coaches keep moving in and out of the door at the club.
The likes of Marcos Alonso, Emerson Palmieri, Davide Zappacosta and Antonio Rudiger have all moved from Serie A to Stamford Bridge in the last two transfer windows, and Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic could be set to join then. He attracted the attention of Maurizio Sarri from his time in Italy with Napoli.
Milinkovic-Savic’s performances for Lazio in Serie A have been generally very impressive and has drawn interest from top clubs like Real Madrid, Paris Saint Germain and Juventus but Chelsea can’t be counted out just yet.
According to Il Tempo in Italy, Chelsea are ready to dip deep into their transfer kitty and register a mammoth bid for Milinkovic-Savic this summer.
The 23-year old is an alternative for Inter Milan’s Mattias Vecino, who the Blues are chasing to fill one of the spots in Sarri’s midfield three next season.
