Chelsea have been linked with Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, and plenty of sites like CaughtOffside are claiming that the midfielder has returned late for preseason.
That’s enough of a tidbit to get speculation going about his future, which is in doubt after an eye catching breakout season at Lazio.
The Serbian player is a tall and dominating presence in midfield, covering ground and scoring goals with a wicked shot.

That rangy style and his nationality are reminiscent of Nemanja Matic, although he has more quality in attacking areas than his countryman.
He featured at the World Cup in a Serbia team that didn’t really perform as well as it might have done, but since then has been incognito.
That lead to plenty of transfer speculation, but the fact he’s back training with his club in Rome should indicate that he’s set for at least one more season in Serie A.
