Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara, and have reportedly made an enquiry on him.
The Blues signed Jorginho from Napoli this summer shortly after the club brought in Maurizio Sarri to replace Antonio Conte, and the Italian manager’s attacking philosophy means the club must acquire more talent to restore the pride at West London.
Alcantara is the latest midfielder to be linked with the Stamford Bridge outfit but the Blues have their backs against the wall in their search for supreme talent this summer. There is no Champions League football on offer at the club this season and as they battle with Manchester United for the signature of the classy passing midfielder, it is almost clear which club he will prefer although there are other strong interest from elsewhere, as per ESPN.
According to reports, Thiago is also open to switching back to Barcelona, where he signed from in 2013.
Alex Shaw of ESPN points out that it could make more sense for Thiago to move to Chelsea instead of Man United if it comes to choosing between the two Premier League giants.
He's what United need but then not sure how you get Fred/Matic/Pogba/Thiago all in the same team.
Thiago-Kante-Jorginho looks pretty crazy.
