Chelsea are reportedly getting closer to signing their man Danielle Rugani from Juventus after the defender’s agent Daniel Torchia revealed that the Blues have made an ‘important offer’ for him.
The Blues have been strongly linked with a move for the young defender who is aiming for big things at the top Italian Serie A club and are hoping Juventus relax their demands for him.
Not long ago, Rugani’s agent suggested he knew of the interest from Chelsea but nothing concrete had been discusses between the two parties but the situation may have changed in the last couple of days, as the Blues may have just stepped up their efforts in signing their long term target.
Torchia reveals Chelsea have made an ‘important offer’ for Rugani but adds that does not firm up the deal, as Juventus are reluctant in selling the budding defender who is seen as heir to Giorgio Chiellini at the Turin club.
“A very important offer has come in for Rugani from Chelsea.
However, Juve don’t want to do a deal and they don’t want to sell the player. As such, just as with the [Leonardo] Bonucci situation, it seems that anything is possible.”
