Chelsea’s new manager Maurizio Sarri is though to have a first obligation to keep hold of the stars at the club and prevent them from moving on to new destinations this summer.
The chaos that erupted at the club in the midst of Antonio Conte’s last few months at Chelsea led to mane believing that Sarri will struggle to keep the superstars at the club happy with many expected to leave this summer.
But one man, the former Napoli head coach may hesitate to keep at the club is Thibaut Courtois. The Belgium international is not known for his distribution, apparently, a quality, Sarri expects every goalkeeper to have to train under him. This was revealed by Bleacher Report football reporter Sam Tighe who recollects how Sarri eulogized Emerson of Manchester City whose distributions stands at almost 100%.
Remember Sarri said this:
"City's most dangerous player? Ederson. I'm being serious, because their goalkeeper didn't miss a single ball out from the back, he played 50 balls with the defence and got them all right, playing well through our pressing.”

A GK’s distribution/short game is critical to Sarri’s system. Consider that quote, then remember Courtois’ struggles in distribution—particularly under duress.
It really just doesn’t feel like the two mesh.

If Courtois will remain at Stamford Bridge, it may mot be up to the pay rise he expects, it may be that he improves his ball playing ability to match the philosophy of Sarri who will like to see free flowing football at Chelsea.
