Should Michy Batshuayi be worried of getting replaced as Chelsea's second-choice striker?

Michy Batshuayi attracts top La Liga club as Spanish side pushes for summer deal

It is not a secret that Chelsea are looking to seal deals before the end of the current transfer window, and with the current number of strikers at the club standing at four, some may have to leave to create space for additional first team quality.

Rumors have linked Chelsea to the purchase of Gonzalo Higuain, but the Argentina striker is not looking to move to the Premier League and Juventus also remaining firm on their decision not to sell.

That might have a big telling on what the Blues do from now in the transfer market, especially if they keep missing out on deals for strikers, as they will like to keep hold of their star players including Michy Batshuayi. The Belgium international is attracting interest from Spain, with Cadena COPE reporting that Valencia are set to begin talks with Chelsea for the signing of the former Marseille striker on a one year loan deal.

The report says Valencia have made contact with the Blues are currently are considering whether or not to include a clause that makes the loan deal permanent after one year.

Batshuayi joined Borussia Dortmund on loan last January, but his successful stint was cut short after he picked up an ankle injury, just two months into the deal, scoring nine goals in all competitions for the Bundesliga club.
