Chelsea have began their pre-season transfers and although only Jorginho has moved to join the club so far, several other top players continue to be linked with Maurizio Sarri’s new side before the season begins.
The Italian hopes to rebuild the squad or find a suitable balance in it before the season kicks off, and with the Blues striking force failing to convince him, he has told Chelsea’s chiefs to move in for Gonzalo Higuain. The Argentina international has been made the main candidate to arrive at Stamford Bridge this summer among a number of strikers, initially shortlisted, but Chelsea now have serious competition from Italy.
Gianluca Di Marzio says AC Milan are reportedly interested in giving Higuain the opportunity to continue his trade in Italy, as they could become the third club for the striker in the country following his stint at Napoli before joining Juventus.
Sky Italia also claim, Chelsea’s interest hold, but Milan seem to have taken the lead on his signature.
For #Higuain still #Chelsea interested in Juventus player, but in the meantime talks are ongoing between #Juve and #Milan (Marotta and Leonardo). @SkySport #CFC

That would offer Chelsea some competition as the move has delayed significantly.
