Chelsea’s academy graduate Callum Hudson-Odoi has received the best news he could have hoped for this off season, as his manager Maurizio Sarri revealed his plans to include the youngster in his squad when next season begins.
The 17-year old has been one of the most outstanding players in the club’s age limit squads, and has shown his immense capabilities to the new coach this preseason. Hudson-Odoi has been one of the stand out players during preseason for Chelsea and against Arsenal, the starlet was a speed demon who mesmerized the Gunners defense during his time on the pitch.
Chelsea are usually quick to send top talent on loan in search of first team opportunities but seem confident Hudson-Odoi will be a good fit for Sarri’s idea of football and they will apparently keep him at the club next season.
Sarri says the budding youngster will be a ‘very strong’ player in future and will spend the next months at the club training with the outstanding quality in the squad.
“Hudson-Odoi is a very young player. We have to wait.
In the future he will be a very, very strong player for sure. He will stay with us (in the senior squad) for the season.”
