Chelsea should brace themselves for a bid from Atletico Madrid this summer with the Spanish giants interested in signing Michy Batsuhayi on loan.
According to Marca, the Chelsea striker has become a very strong option for Atletico who are keen to sign another striker this summer transfer window and have had their sights on AC Milan forward Nikola Kalinic. A move for Kalinic seemed right on track for Diego Simeone’s side but Milan’s new owners want to take a second look at the decision by the previous owners to make the agreement with Atletico.
Bizarrely, Marca say Olivier Giroud is also another target for Atletico who want adequate cover for Diego Costa and Antoine Greizmann in the event they both are not available for selection in games.
The report by Marca says Atletico are in search of a ‘new striker who is a proven goalscorer, experienced in Europe, and available on loan’ and Batshuayi might just be their man.
