A big weekend for Pedro and Willian with Eden Hazard getting closer to first team start

Chelsea face Newcastle United this weekend in their third Premier League game of the season, having won their first two against Huddersfield and Arsenal.

Away at the Kirklees stadium in the Blues first game, Maurizio Sarri stuck with his choice of Willian and Pedro on the flanks with Alvaro Morata through the middle as they secured a heavy 3-0 win. Against the Gunners at Stamford Bridge the same attack was maintained as the Blues secured yet another win.

But beyond the starting line up, one thing that repeated itself was how Eden Hazard was introduced in the second half to cement the dominance Chelsea had in the games. His contribution to the last goals scored in each game, is a big hint of how Sarri could help the Belgium attacker achieve great numbers in attack.

Hazard is arguably Chelsea’s best player and when fully fit, one of Willian and Pedro will have to be sacrificed to make way for him in the team. Against Newcastle United this weekend, the shuffling will begin with one of them being played on the right side of attack and Hazard takes over the left flank.

It proves a big weekend for whoever is chosen alongside the Belgian magician and if both are stuck with on the selection sheet, they have to really make it count, Hazard will not give them too much space to breathe. He is gradually getting to full fitness, and when he does, he’s not about getting benched by Sarri.
