Chelsea enter into negotiations to sign outstanding goalkeeper to replace Thibaut Courtois

Chelsea have reportedly begun making moves for Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak ahead of Thursday’s transfer window end.

On Monday, several sources reported that Thibaut Courtois had told Maurizio Sarri that he wants out of the club, after keeping the club waiting all summer for a decision on his future. The Blues played the game patiently and perhaps were too patient with the Belgium star who has now stabbed them with a dagger, leaving them little time to replace him.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Chelsea will now move in for Atletico’s number one goalkeeper Jan Oblak and pay the asking price of £89 million for the star goalkeeper. The Blues had moved close to other goalkeeping options this summer including Allison who ultiamtely joined Liverpool for a world record fee of £67 million, as per the Liverpool Echo.

The Blues are reportedly also keeping tabs on Stoke City’s England international goalkeeper Jack Butland.
